The dual benefits are both immediate and long-lasting for skin tightening and circumference reduction.Superior 3rd Generation TechnologyThe first generation of RF technology used one electrode to deliver electrical energy and a return pad connected to the leg or back to close the electrical circuit. The electric current had to pass through a large part of the body and flow through the vascular system so that there was no control over penetration depth.The next generation bi-polar technology used two electrodes, with the current flowing between the two. This confined the treatment area somewhat, but still did not achieve effective focus. Since both mono-polar and bi-polar RF technologies are not focused, they usually require much higher energy to achieve clinical results. This high energy heats the skin that is near the electrodes. This causes pain and a higher risk of burns and skin damage. In addition, these older technologies required cooling mechanisms to mitigate these risks, which resulted in less efficient heating of the skin layers. It is particularly suitable for aesthetic applications since the heat is treated by body cells as an energy source. Since fat cells are more resistant to high frequency (HF) electrical current than other skin cells, they heat up more quickly.
